UPCOMING WHITE HOUSE CONFERENCE ON AGING

In October of this year selected delegates from all over the United States will gather in Washington D.C. to form a policy on aging to present to the President and Congress. This conference happens every ten years. The needs discussed here are also used to assist the public and private sectors to take actions that will promote dignity, health, independence and economic security for senior citizens. In the past programs such as Medicare were a result of the recommendations of these Conferences.

Meetings, surveys, and listening sessions are going on all over the country to develop a list of topics that should be talked about at this Conference. Please take a few minutes and complete the following short survey below.

The responses from Lorain County will be gathered and placed in a report that will be forwarded on to the Conference in Washington D.C. and used to show the needs to local program planners. We need your opinions.
